We only offer one and it’s our passion! We offer a monthly preventative maintenance program that cleans FOG (fats, oils, and grease) kitchen drain systems with our proprietary Shockwave chemical.

Yes, that is exactly what we do. Shockwave removes FOG that causes many kitchen drain backups. 

We serve any and all commercial kitchens. Nothing is too big or too small. Restaurants, hospitals, cafeterias, schools, universities, grocery stores, food manufacturing facilities, food processing facilities, cafes, casinos, nursing homes, gas stations, truck stops, any business that has fat, oil or grease going down a drain would greatly benefit from Shockwave treatment!

Nova Solutions Shockwave chemical removes FOG and greasy buildup from pipes. Grease in pipes can cause slow draining or blockages which lead to kitchen flooding and backups.

Yes! We can help to ascertain if the problem sounds like a grease related issue. While shockwave is not the emergency panic button when you’re having a full-blown flood, we are the sister company of Crescent Environmental Services who can assist you. 

One of our team will come to your kitchen and pour your treatment carefully down the drains with a focus on the drain furthest from your grease trap to ensure the entirety of the main kitchen pipe to your grease trap is stripped of greasy waste.

Pumping a grease trap only removes the greasy waste that has made it to the trap. Over time, grease will adhere to the walls of the pipes in your kitchen plumbing system. This buildup will cause slow draining and/or backups.

Snaking will not fully clean a line it really only punched through blockages. Hydro-jetting is wonderful tool when you have lines that are completely impacted with grease. Jetting in these instances can run well into the thousands of dollars. Shockwave serves a different purpose: affordable preventative maintenance that keeps FOG from building up in the first place.  

No. Nova Solutions Shockwave is a small batch concentrated chemical that we manufacture ourselves. It is not available in stores or through anyone else.

No. Shockwave is a proprietary blend of solvents, surfactants, and other chemicals specifically designed to target commercial kitchen greasy waste.

Yes! Shockwave is designed to remove grease trap waste in all plumbing environments. Enzymes degrade quickly under acidic conditions like kitchen wastewater.

Automatic dispensers are good in theory but often fail in a few key ways. Speaking from experience as we tried them before, they get bumped, knocked, battered and bruised even in innocuous areas of a commercial kitchen. Also, hand pouring allows us to target different areas of the kitchen if a specific drain is causing trouble. Further, our team checks in with your kitchen staff to see if they have had any issues related to plumbing. 

The chemical was originally developed with a chemistry PhD for Crescent Environmental Services for use in our grease disposal sites. We found it so effective that we founded Nova Solutions in 2019 and began offering it to large scale commercial kitchen. Now that we have grown and have the infrastructure to support it, we are happy to offer it to all who need it!

Every batch of Shockwave is tested at our grease trap disposal facility on the worst of the worst grease trap waste. It is observed for speed and efficacy. We will post a lot of the videos for everyone to see!

Yes, but don’t. Shockwave is an incredibly strong chemical designed for plumbing system cleaning.

No! Shockwave is specifically designed for maximum grease cutting power in a way that will not damage plumbing systems.

Almost but not all! Pipes can break, sag or get blocked by foreign objects. Many of our team spent years working in commercial kitchens on top of grease trap and chemical servicing and have seen countless odd objects make their way into plumbing systems. Our general manager even saw an entire plate stuck down a drain!

No, but it will remove the need for emergency grease trap pumping, jetting, or snaking for grease build up issues. Regular grease trap maintenance is still a critical part of properly maintaining your plumbing system. Our chemical removes, denatures, and allows the formerly sticky grease to flow into your grease trap, but there is still normal grease and solid accumulation in the grease that will need to be pumped regularly depending on use and municipal regulations.  

No. Shockwave was designed to be handled by our trained personnel, and it is much stronger than any cleaning chemical that should be available to kitchen workers. 

Yes! We do offer discounted rates for customers who use us for both grease trap pumping and chemical maintenance!

Yes! Nova Solutions specializes in preventative commercial kitchen drain cleaning and grease/FOG maintenance rather than residential plumbing.  

Yes that is exactly what we do!

Yes! Since we are not tethered to one spot in the kitchen, our tech an service any and all of your kitchen. We recommend pouring the chemical down the drain furthest from the grease trap so Shockwave cleans you entire kitchen main line all the way to the grease trap. Most clogs and buildup occur in that main line pipe so keeping that clean is priority 1, but sometimes a stubborn floor drain will be slow to drain and we are happy to treat that drain as well.

Nova Solutions is a single-purpose, single-minded organization, not a plumbing enterprise with tons of services. We only offer kitchen plumbing maintenance and cleaning through our Shockwave chemical. Nova’s entire team also operates Crescent Environmental Services which focuses on grease trap cleaning. Our whole purpose for both companies is to keep you flowing so you keep cooking!  

Yes! If you are already happy with your grease trap service provider we will still service you. While we stand by everything Crescent does, we know there are other good companies out there too and chances are if you like them then we are friendly with them too!
